Also looking at a Polaris 500 sportsman 2008 for the same price. I ride an LTZ 400 great quad but need more comfort. Wife rides a Polaris sportsman 500, it's ok.Forums. Went thru the carburetor, correctly set the float, rebuilt the carb with a full kit. Starts and runs fine at idle, runs way too rich when throttle opened. This is important as the valve will open quicker if it is twisted. 2. The spring does wear out. Worn spring will result in lean burn above 1/4 throttle as the slide opens quicker and allows more air.

The valve seal was also a problem. The exhaust valve sit's in a pocket that allows oil to sit in it. That makes it easier for the oil to be sucked into the exhaust. Yes, the oil is being sucked into the exhaust when running. Hi, We have a LT Z50 4-stroke with a tuning kit, including Dynatek CDI. It started to run a little weak so I checked the compression then I changed the piston. I have an 08 with a battery from 2018 which is normal lead acid. Your best bet would be to remove the battery to confirm it is a lead acid. I believe they use Yuasa batteries. If it’s lead acid, the battery tender is fine. If by chance it is a lithium ion battery, you need a tender that is compatible with lithium ion.
