1526 posts · Joined 2011. #17 · May 28, 2012. On my Ford Ranger, the pistons in the calipers were plastic and that's why they locked up. The plastic piston gets worn and then gets slightly cockeyed in the bore and so it gets stuck outward. I hope your problems are solved!!
The dust is most noticeable if you have the full windshield and even worse if you also have the rear shield. It creates a vortex inside the cockpit and can also play some dirty tricks with your air filter since the engine breathes through the opening between the seats. The no start happens intermittently whether the engine or air temperature is hot or cold. I feel that the problem is fuel pump related. I adjusted the striker out and down to help but it didnt have enough movement to gain what I needed. I took off the striker and elongated the mounting holes and reinstalled to adjust.Quintin. Another option , tap into the two wires on the brake switch and run wires up to the dashboard and install a pushbtton { N.O. contacts } , just press the button when starting , problem solved permanently . #20 wire will be large enough . Its 62" wide thats its only limits. Tried to upload a few pics but failed. Mine would run 40mph and fly over rough terrain, moved horse trailer around with it and load it up with feed ... The turf mode issues -- common problem. The axle issues -- common problem. The throttle body adapter -- common problem if you google it. It has cost a lot of motors.
