The serial numberr 70478, possibly a 12 or 16 gauge. It's rusted, pitted and probably not of much monetary value as much as it's sentimental value. Any help will be most appreciated.Found another 335 today. It's a 16 GA, serial # 533XX, marked "J. Stevens Arms & Tool" with 26" barrels, "Pat'd Mar 19, 1907". On another site it's said to have been mfg between 1912 & 1915. Pretty decent survivor. Has an 18" part-octagonal barrel. Action similar to Civil War Maynard rifle, with trigger guard activating lever. Finish all blued, with board-type buttstock and no forearm. Barrel marked "Stevens Maynard, J. R." in addition to standard Stevens' barrel address. Manufactured between 1902 and 1912.Serial number- S7. This Crack Shot is in good condition considering it is most likely around 100 years old. Features a 20" barrel with a falling block action. Marked "22- Long Rifle *Crack-Shot* J. Stevens made takedown, break-open single shot shotguns, generally with visible hammers from the 1890's till 1990. Value will generally range from $50 to $200 depending on condition with small bore (larger gauge numbers) being worth more. 12 gauge are the least valuable.

The No. 200 was a hammerless pump 20 gauge which could handle 2 1/2", 2 3/4" or 3" shells at a time when most 20 gauge shotguns were single shot "boy's" guns which could only handle the 2 1/2 inch shell. It was only made from about 1911 to about 1914. Based on serial numbers, there were only about 20,000 made.
